This is another one that you could only get your hands on by filling it yourself after your visit to the distillery. I got the bottle from my German friend Michael. It is a malt that matured for 9 years in a red wine barrel from Bordeaux.

The nose perfectly balances between sweet notes of banana, apricots, red fruit and candied agrums and earthy notes as from autumn leaves and moss. This is the better wine aging.

The body is fine, the strength great. Oily, spicy, sweet, seductive. Orange, rosé wine, bananas... sounds like a strange combo, but works fine. Gooseberries, strawberries, raspberries. The oak adds a nice bitterness with some spices. This is enjoyable.

The finish is dark red (yes, you read that right).

Reminds me in many ways of the Auchentoshan that I bottled myself for my 50th birthday. Only this one is just a little better, I have to admit.
