Face time meets Face Dram.

I acquired a few 5 cl bottles of the bourbon matured lightly peated 9 year old expression, and recently sent one to my brother in law. Tonight we "face-timed" and cracked the bottles together.

Nose: peat, vanilla, with a drop or two of water develops a floral aroma.

taste: rich vanilla, sweet peat. thinner than the 55% sherried expressions I've tried but with an underlying signature that appears to be "Bladnoch" Finish: medium...the peat lasts a long time.

It goes well with milk chocolate.

This opens beautifully with time. Hard to compare to the other Bladnochs because it's really a different type of Scotch and although craft-presented, it is diluted o 46%.

I would probably pick a 55% sherry-matured over this, but if anyone offered me a dram I'd be unlikely to turn them down

Nice review Nozinan. A little too peat for me but not a bad dram. Keep the reviews coming.

Over a year later the last few CCs appear to have maintained the same character.

2 and a half years later the heel of @nosebleed's bottle carries the same excellence. this time I drank it for the sheer pleasure, so I can't revisit the score. I may have 1 left of these. I will miss it when it is gone... Never to be tasted again...
