The nose is fairly mellow but with hints of citrus and almonds. When it first hits the palate there is a pop of black pepper spice that swiftly gives way to caramel, honey, and flower petals. Surprisingly, the mouthfeel is fairly thin considering how sweet the whisky is. The finish is extremely long and last several minutes. Finishes with milk chocolate, hint of pine nuts, leather, and cork. This is an excellent representation of the unique flavors imparted by Mizunara Oak. At less than $50 price point, this is an excellent value.

Thanks for the review @Patriot65108 . I recently tried my first Chivas 12 and while not blown away (which would have been unexpected) I quite like it. I saw this on MoM recently and thought it looked interesting. One to try definitely although the low abv does put me off spending £45 on a bottle.
