Sample compliments of @maltster. This is a cask strength first fill Sherry Cask Adelphi bottling of a 6 YO Glenrothes

Nose: strong, lots of caramel and wine; cherries and candied apricot...thick and rich

Taste: sharp strong very pointed high-pitched thick sherry-wine flavours; quite delicious; there is also significant caramel, and of course a nice base malt underneath it all. The cherries and candied apricots are present on the palate just as they were in the nose. This reminds me a good bit of the NAS North American release Macallan Cask Strength, though this one has a bit more dimension than the Macallan CS. The wood flavours are quite strong for a 6 YO malt...very good too, clean...

Finish: a very sweet winey and woody finish; this tapers down after a medium length

Balance: this works for me, in spades...this thick syrupy wine malt is just my cup of tea
