I had this back in May 2015 thanks to a friend of mine who had gotten it from some internet auction, where it was advertised as a bottle from the 1960s. We enjoyed it, I took my notes and pictures, and here it comes for you all.

I know nothing about The Curtis Distillery Co. Ltd, other than they used to produce gin rather than scotch, and that they had this blended in their portfolio -at least in Europe. The house shuttered for good decades ago and there's very little about them on the web. Any info will be welcomed.

It pours a pale amber with a greenish cast, no impurities in spite of its age (the contents have dwindled, though.) Aroma is very low, and rather sweet: crème brûlée, vanilla, egg yolk.

Taste is sweet and smoky, with an oily mouthfeel and showing muscle as it goes down. But the finish is harsh, even aggressive, and this downplays everything. What a letdown.
